Working around your business
Commercial clearance rarely happens at a convenient moment. It is usually tied to a lease ending, a move, a refit or a closure, and always to a date that cannot move. We plan these jobs around your schedule rather than ours, including evenings, weekends and phased clearances that keep part of the premises in use throughout.
For office moves we can clear in stages: redundant furniture and archive first, then the working areas once the team has moved out. For retail units we can work overnight so the shop trades normally until the last day. Either way you get one point of contact and a fixed price agreed before anything starts.
We handle the building side of it too, where required: lifting carpet tiles, taking out partitioning and shelving, and stripping a unit back for handback to a landlord.
Compliance, data and duty of care
Businesses have a legal duty of care for the waste they produce, which means checking that whoever removes it is registered to do so and keeping the transfer documentation. We are a registered waste carrier and issue waste transfer notes as standard, so your file is complete without having to chase anyone for it.
Confidential material needs more than a skip. Old personnel files, customer records and paper archives should be destroyed securely rather than tipped, and hard drives in redundant computers hold data long after the machine stops working. Tell us what is involved and we will route it to secure destruction and provide the certificate.
Electrical and electronic equipment falls under separate regulations again, and monitors, servers, printers and small appliances all need to go for WEEE recycling rather than general disposal. We separate it as we load, so it is handled correctly from the outset.
Business questions
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes. Evening and weekend clearances are common for us, particularly for shops and offices that need to keep trading.
Do you provide waste transfer notes?
Yes, as standard. You get the documentation your duty of care requires without having to ask for it.
What about confidential files and old computers?
We route paper archives to secure destruction and IT equipment to WEEE recycling, with certificates on request.
Can you strip a unit back for handback?
Yes. Carpet tiles, partitioning, shelving and shopfittings can all be removed as part of the job.
