FURNITURE REMOVAL

Furniture removal, from one item to a houseful

Sofas, wardrobes, beds, appliances and awkward one-off pieces, carried out safely and taken away, with reusable furniture passed on rather than dumped.

What we take

Single items

One sofa, one wardrobe, one fridge. There's no minimum job.

Whole roomfuls

Full lounge, bedroom or office suites cleared in one visit.

Awkward access

Upstairs rooms, tight stairwells and narrow doorways are routine for us.

Reuse first

Serviceable furniture is offered to local charities and reuse schemes.

The easy way to get rid of big furniture

Bulky furniture is the classic household problem. It is too big for the car, too heavy to carry alone, and council bulky waste collections can mean a long wait and a limited list of what they will take. Our furniture removal service exists to solve exactly that: you point at the item, we carry it out and it is gone.

You do not need to dismantle anything, and you do not need to drag it to the kerb. We come into the property, protect the route where necessary, and take the item out ourselves. Beds, wardrobes and sofas that will not fit through a doorway can usually be broken down on site, and we bring the tools to do it.

Quoting is simple. Send a photograph or a description of the item and we will come back with a fixed price, usually the same day. The price covers collection, transport and disposal, so what we quote is what you pay.

Where your old furniture goes

Furniture in reasonable condition is worth far more to someone else than it is to a landfill site, so wherever we can we route it towards reuse. Local charity shops and furniture reuse projects across the Borders take sofas, tables, chairs and wardrobes, and we would always rather make that call first.

Upholstered items are the one thing worth checking before you book. Sofas and mattresses can only be passed on if the original fire-safety label is still attached, which is a legal requirement rather than a preference. If the label is missing the item can still be collected, it just goes for recycling instead.

Anything that cannot be reused is separated into timber, metal, foam and general waste at a licensed transfer station. As registered waste carriers we keep the paper trail for every load, so you can be confident nothing we take away ends up somewhere it should not.

Frequently asked questions

Will you take just one item?

Yes. Single-item collections are one of the most common jobs we do, and we quote a fair price for the size of the load.

Do I need to take it apart first?

No. We dismantle beds, wardrobes and flat-pack furniture on site where it will not fit through a doorway.

Can you collect from an upstairs flat?

Yes. Stairs, tight landings and awkward corners are part of the job, and our team is equipped for it.

Do you take white goods and appliances?

Yes. Fridges, freezers, washing machines and cookers are all collected and sent for proper recycling.
